Surrounded by idyllic forests, blooming orchards and lush green meadows, the Demeter organic farm “Hof Marienhöhe” is just a nice walk away from our Villa Contessa Resort.

Founded in 1880, “Hof Marienhöhe” is the oldest organic farm in Germany.

The organic farmers at “Hof Marienhöhe” supply our restaurant with excellent products from excellent Demeter organic quality:

  • delicious breads from the farm's own bakery
  • best dairy products (e.g. quark, butter, cheese)
  • Traditional handcrafted meat & sausages
  • freshly harvested fruit and vegetables

With local products from “Hof Marienhöhe”, we offer you the best Demeter organic quality from Bad Saarow and support our local organic farmers.

Grandfather's Landliebe

A supplier that is particularly important to us

Of the outstanding suppliers who supply our restaurant with the best and freshest ingredients, we would like to highlight one supplier in particular: our dear grandfather Günther Wellkisch.

At the age of 95, our grandfather runs his little organic farm in the green floodplains of the nearby Oder. With dedication, he grows fruit & vegetables there according to old traditions and nurtures and cares for his beloved free-range chickens.

Our grandfather proudly delivers the selection of his harvest and his best organic eggs to our restaurant so that we can conjure up wonderful dishes for our guests.

A sun-drenched, kilometre-long waterfront, deep blue water and white sailing yachts that gently swing in a warm breeze — Bad Saarow has always enchanted its guests on the majestic Scharmützelsee and is considered the pearl of Mark Brandenburg.

In a prime location on the picturesque waterfront of Bad Saarow, our small, fine Villa Contessa is a very special retreat that you could easily expect on the French Riviera.

A special highlight of our Villa Contessa is our wonderful lounge terrace with its fantastic lake view. On a wonderfully sunny day, enjoying a chilled rosé on our lounge terrace, listening to the gentle sounds of the lake and watching the light play on the water — that is a relaxed Riviera feeling and pure joie de vivre for us.
