Best quality from Marienhöhe Farm

Surrounded by idyllic forests, blossoming orchards and lush green meadows, the Demeter organic farm "Hof Marienhöhe" is just a nice walk away from our Villa Contessa Resort.

Founded in 1880, "Hof Marienhöhe" is the oldest organic farm in Germany.

The organic farmers of the "Hof Marienhöhe" supply our restaurant with outstanding products of excellent Demeter organic quality:

  • Delicious breads from the farm's own bakery
  • best dairy products (e.g. curd, butter, cheese)
  • Meat & sausage products made by hand in the traditional way
  • Freshly harvested fruit and vegetables

With the local products from "Hof Marienhöhe" we offer you the best Demeter organic quality from Bad Saarow and support our local organic farmers.

Grandfather's country love

A supplier that is particularly close to our hearts

Of the outstanding suppliers who provide our restaurant with the best and freshest ingredients, we would like to single out one supplier in particular: our dear grandfather Günther Wellkisch.

At the age of 95, our grandfather runs his small organic farm in the green floodplains of the nearby Oder River. Full of dedication, he grows fruits and vegetables according to old traditions and cares for his beloved free-range chickens.

Our grandfather proudly delivers the selection of his harvest and his best organic eggs to our restaurant so that we can conjure up wonderful dishes for our guests.

Thank you, dear grandpa. You are simply wonderful!

A sun-drenched, mile-long lakeside promenade, deep blue water and white sailing yachts gently rocking in a warm breeze - Bad Saarow on the majestic lake Scharmützelsee has always enchanted its guests with its maritime joie de vivre and is considered the pearl of the Mark Brandenburg.

In a prime location on the picturesque lakeside promenade of Bad Saarow, our small, fine Villa Contessa is a very special retreat that could easily be mistaken for being on the French Riviera.

A special highlight of our Villa Contessa is our beautiful lounge terrace with its dreamlike lake view. Enjoying a chilled rosé on our lounge terrace on a wonderfully sunny day, listening to the gentle sounds of the lake and watching the play of light on the water - for us this is relaxed Riviera feeling and pure joie de vivre.

Built in 1910 as an elegant summer residence in the heart of the elegant artists' and villa colony of Bad Saarow, our Villa Contessa has always enchanted guests with its special charm and its wonderful view of the majestic lake Scharmützelsee.
